Life in Ancient Egypt
- children were naked up to the age of twelve. once they hit twelve they ere expected to wear clothes summer and winter. A garment that had detachable sleeves to be sewn on for cold winter was what they wore. children can also be identified by their hairstyle, the head shaved, with a piece of hair hanging down as a sidelock. shaving the head prevented infestation of lice.
- Men wore a short kilt, knotted or buckled at the waist.
- Women wore tunics, with either one or two shoulder straps.
- Labourers just wore a loincloth (a piece of cloth worn around the hips). Cloaks, shawls, tunics, and furs were worn in winter.
- Most people wore clothes made out of linen. Linen was light, cool and easy to wash and dry in the hot sun. linen was made from Flax plants, linen was difficult to dye, so most garments were left plain.
- Children and countryfolk went barefoot. Better off people wore sandals of leather, or woven reed grass.
- everybody wore jewerllery and amulets (charms to guard against evil.)
Life today is similar to how the Egyptians use to live, here are some thing they have in common.
- some clothes are still made out of linen.
- Some nationalities and religion still wear tunics.
- The rich still has better things than the middle class and the poor.
- we wear jewellery and Amulets.
Even though clothes is much more moder now days we still can relate.

Expectations
My expectation in life, is to have a job that makes me happy.
My expectation at school,is to be there even when i don't feel like it.
My expectation for my fellow students at school,is for them to be respectful.
My expectation for my teachers, is for them to respect us students and our opinions.
My expectation for my child, is for him to be a healthy and athletic boy.
My expectation for the nursery, is for them to really enjoy what they do and not just be there for the money.
